Peter Coffin

To coincide with a gallery project by Natalie Dray that launched in Sep 2013, Peter Coffin produced a photographic work for the on-street light box series. His composition, uses a colourful assortment of fruit bought around Brooklyn, where the artist works. While borrowing from the tradition of Giuseppe Arcimboldo's Mannerisms, Coffin's work for Pro Numb is a nod to the many shop signs that neighbour the gallery on Cazenove Road. Awaiting to adorn the name or brand of an imaginary shop, Coffin's work is an empty, fruity frame, within a frame.
